Mother and Baby on Floor

Are you second guessing your milk supply?

You’re not alone in this feeling. This is a legitimate fear that often accompanies new parenthood whether it’s your first baby or your fifth.  Low supply is the most common reason for early weaning.  But, it doesn’t have to be.

There is a lot of space between making no milk and over-supply. The good news is that there are very few people who make absolutely no milk. For those that are making any amount of milk…this is a clear indication that your body is capable!  You can continue giving your baby that milk and all its great superpowers if you choose to do so. This might look like combination feeding with formula or donated milk as you work on bringing your supply up to your body’s personal milk production potential.

If you’re struggling with low supply, it’s important to understand that it can have several causes- none of which can be assessed in a single office visit by just looking at your chest.

During your consult, we will discuss your medical history and how that may impact your supply in this stage, appropriate lab work, weight assessments, as well as actionable modifications you can start immediately to work with your body’s milk production process.
